Proposed Collin County Redistricting
The Collin County Commissioner’s Court is proposing new district lines that will go into effect on January 1st, 2010. Most of the revised borders split existing districts along ISD and municipal boundaries. The intention is to reduce the number of precincts that force voters to travel to multiple election sites depending upon the specific election (e.g. school board elections in different locations than national elections). The Court has produced a PowerPoint presentation of the proposed border changes, which can be downloaded here (6.7 Mb).
